Workshops & Lectures
I design and lead creative workshops for children, helping them explore design through play, problem-solving, and critical thinking. I’ve also lectured at several universities, sharing my approach to idea development and design thinking with students at a higher level.
"Little cartographers"
In this workshop, young designers learn how to visually map out information using spatial plans. They explore different types of maps to understand how elements relate to each other in space, while also gaining hands-on experience with the basics of visual coding.
"Music pen"
This workshop invites children to explore the connection between music, visual art, and design. Young designers learn how to translate what they hear into visual form through a mix of lectures, games, and creative exercises. They discover how graphic design can be used as a tool for expression and to visually communicate content.
"I know the sign"
This workshop introduces young designers to the elements and principles of design and how to apply them effectively. Through creative exercises, they learn how to visually present a story, product, or person by developing characters. The workshop also guides them through the basics of designing a sign or logo, combining storytelling with visual identity.
"Shhh! It's a secret"
In this workshop, children explore hidden design—images that appear only under specific conditions, like from a certain angle, through a lens, or with heat. They experiment with different techniques to create their own designs with secret messages, expanding their creativity and understanding of design’s expressive potential.
Graphic design
As the main lecturer for the Graphic Design course in the Undergraduate Design Program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Osijek, Croatia, I developed and led the curriculum, guiding students through the complete design process. From foundational principles to final project execution, students worked on real-world briefs, learned how to structure and refine their ideas, and created professional-level work. The course concluded with each student presenting their final design to a real client, gaining direct feedback and valuable industry experience. The program focused on building both creative and practical skills, preparing students for the realities of a design career.
Visual design of market communication
As lecturer for the course Visual Design of Market Communications in the Undergraduate Design Program at the University College of Agora in Zagreb, Croatia, I worked with students on the development of visual identity and branding strategies. The course placed a strong emphasis on small businesses and the design of packaging for various food products. Through a mix of theory and hands-on projects, students explored how to create cohesive brand identities, communicate effectively through visual language, and design packaging that resonates with both clients and consumers. The course encouraged a practical, market-oriented approach, preparing students to apply their skills in real-world design contexts.
Graphics for Architects
Served as an assistant professor for the course Graphics for Architects at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The course introduced architecture students to key design principles, bridging the gap between architecture and visual communication. Topics included brand identity, typography, composition, digital design, book design, and more. My role focused on helping students understand how graphic design enhances architectural presentations and communication, encouraging them to think visually and conceptually beyond traditional architectural tools.
Integration of design and technology
"In the Master’s course Integration of Design and Technology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana, I took on the role of assistant professor, leading a project-based module focused on web design. Working with students in the Graphic and Interactive Communication program, I guided them through the full design process—from analyzing a real client brief to delivering a final website concept for a nonprofit organization. The course emphasized practical skills, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving, while also offering students firsthand experience in client collaboration and digital design.
